Hi, I'm Nat — the maker, teacher, and cat person behind Murder Mittens Leather Goods!
What began as curiosity in 2025 after a belt-making class at my local library quickly turned into a full-blown obsession and I soon realized that my favorite part of the process was sharing it with others.
Teaching has always been part of who I am. I taught introductory knitting classes to literally hundreds of students during my college years, I lead Learning & Development initiatives in my day job, and I genuinely believe that anyone can learn something new with the right support and encouragement.
Whether you're joining me at a convention, booking a private event, planning a team-building activity, or attending a virtual class, my goal is simple: help you create something you're proud of. My classes are designed with beginners in mind - clear instruction, a welcoming atmosphere, and plenty of "you've got this" energy. I provide everything needed for in-person workshops (and all of the niche tools and supplies needed for virtual sessions), and every participant leaves with a finished project they can start using right away.
When I'm not working with leather, I'm usually diving into another creative hobby. I sew, knit, embroider, quilt, and spin yarn. I also have a weakness for beautiful notebooks and collecting craft supplies for future projects faster than I can use them.
And yes, there really is a Mittens behind Murder Mittens Leather Goods! He's my crazy orange boy and he earned his nickname "Murder Mittens" early on.
